MICKEY MORELLO

Area Director

When Mickey Morello heard about FCA for the first time, he felt that God was stirring his soul for young athletes in sports ministry. “I have an evangelical call on my life to share my faith in Jesus Christ,” says Morello. “I just want to see students encounter Him in real ways. After I realized what FCA was doing in the lives of these athletes, I was all in.”

Morello is an FCA Area Representative for New York City Metro and serves students in Westchester and the Bronx at Fordham University. He found his love for sports by playing football in White Plains at the age of ten. After playing the sport throughout high school, Morello went on to attend SUNY Cortland and SUNY Albany and graduated with a degree in Urban Studies and Planning in 2010.

Morello worked six years in the field of customer service before transitioning to a Youth Director position for Ridgeway Church in 2018. As a current seminary student and church staff member, he’s excited to learn more about how to reach both students and coaches. “The people who impacted my life the most were coaches,” says Morello. “I still remember them above my teachers. My goal is to see coaches taking steps towards Jesus and being bold with their faith with their teams; to share His light and have the kind of essence that students and athletes admire and want.”

Along with his studies and service at Ridgeway Church, Morello and his wife, Frances, enjoy living close to family in White Plains, New York. They feel blessed to be part of the FCA family and are committed to serving the youth in their area.
